These terms and conditions apply to the use of this Website and by accessing this Website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.

Use of the Website

We reserve the right to: - modify or withdraw, temporarily or permanently, this Website (or any part thereof) with or without notice - change the Conditions from time to time, and your continued use of the Website (or any part thereof) following such change shall be deemed to be your acceptance of such change. It is your responsibility to check regularly to determine whether the Conditions have been changed.

Third Party Links

We may provide links to other websites or resources for you to access at your sole discretion. We are not responsible or liable for the content or practices of such websites.

Order Process

Our display of products on our website is an invitation and not an offer to sell those goods to you. An offer is made when you place the order for your products. However, we will not have made a contract with you unless and until we accept your offer. Goods are subject to availability. If we are unable to supply the goods, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. A full refund will be given if you have already paid for the goods. We will send you an order acknowledgement e-mail and order update e-mail(s). These are not order confirmation or order acceptance from us. Unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order or you have cancelled it, order acceptance and the creation of the contract between you and us will take place at the point the goods you have ordered are despatched from our premises to be delivered to the address you have given us. It does not take place until that stage, even though we may have debited your card or we have sent acknowledging e-mails. We do not file details of your order for you to access please print out these terms and conditions and the order acknowledgement for your own record.

Payment

Payment may be made by credit or debit card either via the website on our secure checkout or by telephone. You will be charged the current price for buying goods from our website at the date you place your order. All prices are displayed on our website, we do not yet charge VAT. We may charge VAT at a later date in which case all prices displayed will be fully inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate. We may change the prices displayed should the applicable rate of VAT change. A delivery charge will be applied at checkout, please view our delivery charges. We do our best to make sure that prices are correctly shown but very occasionally an error may occur. If this should happen, we will correct the price and ask you to confirm whether you still wish to purchase the goods at the correct price. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled. We will not accept an order if there is a pricing error.

Delivery

Delivery is charged at £4.50 per order, regardless of how many items you order. The delivery charge is added at the checkout. We aim to despatch within one day, packages are sent by Royal Mail First Class or by courier. We deliver to any UK address including most BFPO. We do not deliver to PO Boxes or the Republic of Ireland. Orders placed for these addresses will be cancelled and a full refund will be given if you have already paid for the goods. Larger orders may require a signature to acknowledge delivery. The signature of the person accepting delivery at the delivery address will be proof that delivery has been received by you or the person, to whom the order is addressed. If no one is available to accept the delivery you will receive a card to advise that a delivery has been attempted.

General

All matters concerning and incidental to any offer or agreement for the purchase and sale of goods from our website shall be in English and construed and governed according to English law and the English courts shall have jurisdiction in all such matters.

Return / Refund Policy

If you wish to cancel within 7 days of receipt you must do so by email to customerservices@shortcouture.com. We will refund the cost of the goods and the cost of standard postage. After 7 days should you wish to return an item we will be happy to exchange it or refund within 14 days of delivery. We reserve the right to refuse an exchange or refund if the item(s) are returned in a non-saleable condition, have been worn or are soiled or damaged. If the product returned is not in fully resaleable condition, we do reserve the right to refuse a refund on the item, or deduct up to 20% of the original selling price from the refund amount. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Refunds can only be made to the original card of purchase. Refunds to a card other than the original can only be processed when: - The original account no longer exists OR - The original account details have expired If you have contacted us to cancel your order before you have received your goods, it may not be possible to stop delivery of your order. Please return the order to us by post, in the meantime you must take reasonable care of the items. You must pay the cost of the return postage. If you receive faulty or damaged items please inform us within 7 days so that we can arrange replacements. Further details of your rights under Distance Selling Regulations are available from your local Trading Standards Department or Citizens Advice Bureau.

Cancellation

If you notify us in writing of your wish to return an item within 7 working days of receiving it, we’ll refund you for both the purchase price and the standard delivery charge. Please make sure you take reasonable care of the item while it is in your possession, and that it is returned to us in an unused and resaleable condition. You must pay the cost of return postage. If only part of your order is cancelled, the delivery charge will not be refunded. The following procedures will apply: You can either email us at customerservices@shortcouture.com or telephone us on 01296 661041 between 9am – 5pm. If you have contacted us to cancel before delivery of your goods, though your order will have been cancelled, it may not be possible to prevent your order from being delivered. Please return the cancelled order to us by post, in the meantime you must take reasonable care of all items. You must pay the cost of the return postage.
